Biography

Katherine Wilson is the fourth generation in her family born in Juneau, Alaska, the first being her great-grandmother in 1899, and was largely raised there save for five years in Gustavus fifty miles west of Juneau. After graduating from Juneau-Douglas High School in 2011 she spent one term as a screenwriting student at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before transferring to a school closer to home. She also studied abroad at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. While there she took the time to go on a cross-country road trip, which led to briefly considering a more permanent transfer, but she ultimately came back to Juneau to be near family.

A serendipitous coincidence led to a position in finance, where she worked in both the private sector and local government before coming to sit at the front desk of Baxter Bruce & Sullivan. She enjoys doing the background tasks needed to keep everything organized so that her coworkers can spend more time focused on helping the firm’s clients.

In her free time she enjoys gaming, reading, and collecting old or aesthetically interesting books. She has one dog.
