Z. Kent Sullivan
Kent Sullivan is originally from Missoula, Montana, where he attended the University of Montana, earning a bachelor's degree in Forestry-Recreation Resource Management in 1991. Both during and following his undergraduate schooling, Kent was employed by the United States Forest Service fighting fires and serving as a research technician for the Wilderness Research Unit of the Forest Service. He also worked as a wilderness technician for the Bureau of Land Management and as a sales manager for Rocky Mountain Moving and Storage. Also while obtaining his undergraduate degree, Kent met his wife Jill. They were married in 1993.
Kent attended law school at the University of Montana, graduating with honors in 1996. Following law school, he joined the firm of Sullivan & Tabaracci, P.C., in Missoula, Montana, first as an associate and later becoming a partner. While with Sullivan and Tabaracci, P.C., Kent practiced primarily civil litigation with a heavy emphasis in real estate and property law together with collections.
In 2000, Kent and his wife moved to Juneau, where he joined Baxter Bruce & Sullivan P.C., as an associate in 2001. In July 2007, Kent became a shareholder of Baxter Bruce & Sullivan P.C. Since joining the firm, he has continued his litigation practice in real estate and property matters, collections, contracts, administrative proceedings and business litigation.

• Reported Cases include Fadness v. Wimmer, et al., 951 P.2d 89 (Mont. 1997); Brumit, et al. v. Lewis, et al., 61 P.3d 138 (Mont. 2002); Dawson v. Temanson, et al., 107 P.3d 892 (Alaska 2005); Wilson v. MacDonald, 168 P.3d 887 (Alaska 2007); MacDonald v. Riggs, 166 P.3d 12 (Alaska 2007).
• Represented one of the largest collection agencies in the State of Montana in performing creditor collections and in defending against Fair Debt Collection Practices Act claims.
• Represented consumers in a nationwide class action against one of the largest secondary lenders in the country.
• Represented state and local Realtor organizations.
• Co-taught a continuing education course regarding Montana Landlord & Tenant law.
